Antiquities Of California – Rebranding

As time progresses, businesses must adapt to their environment. Antiquities of California is the leader in autographed memorabilia. They specialize in unique, autographed, and hard-to-find memorabilia from movies, television, music, sports, history and politics. They have locations at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, and Pier 39 in San Francisco. The business has been established for over 30 years, and as time progresses, they found the need to grown their online presence.

The sales model of Antiquities of California have been mostly dependent on e-mail campaigns, customer walk in, and cold calling customers of sales. A system that the company has grown dependent on for 30 years. As technology improves, and the increase in E-commerce competition skyrocketed, Antiquities of California sales began to decline and the need to expand their customer base became a priority.

Antiquities of California hired me as a Marketing Assistant. They explained their needs. They wanted to keep the branding and site the same, but improve the layout. and I began development on a improved version of their website. The site was launch in less than 2 weeks and I was promoted to Marketing Associate. In less than 6 months’ sales have increased by 20% and new customers have increased by 25%.

I truly believe that the company had more potential. I wanted to rebrand their entire company. The project for rebranding was not easy. It took almost 6 months for the approval from the Director of Operations and President. As sales and profit margins increase, I was able to convince shareholders that a rebranding can be accomplished. The project included: a new logo, website, establishing Zoho as our new inventory, and sales platform, increasing social media presence to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, expansion into Amazon, Ebay, Invaluable Auctions, Live Auctioneers, and Etsy. I was given 6 months to accomplish this task. But personally I gave myself one month.

New Website with Rebranding

This project was completed using Shopify themes, and linking Zoho to Shopify’s integration programs. Antiquities Of California was using Microsoft Retail Management System Point of Sale, and was replaced with Zoho Inventory. Zoho also gave us the ability to sync Etsy, Amazon, and eBay. This allowed us to use other E-commerce platform and make sure our inventory was synced at all times. Training with the sales team began on Zoho one week prior to release, and any issues was resolved by launch. The completed results over the span of 6 months was a increase in profit by 75% and new customer acquisitions by 250%. I was promoted to Marketing Manager and continued to expand the company’s service to Fine Arts.
